Our School

Since it’s beginning in 1911, St Columba’s has had a proud and rich history of providing quality education to the Ballarat community. The school is characterised by a strong sense of community and commits to a personalised contemporary approach to learning and teaching, aimed at students reaching their full potential.

St Columba’s School provides a positive and stimulating learning environment designed to engage, empower and inspire our students in classes from Foundation to Year 6. Our learning spaces reflect the needs of students in the 21st century, developing learners who can transfer and apply their knowledge and skills within and beyond the school.

St Columba’s is the parish primary school of St Columba’s Church, Ballarat North.  With a strong emphasis on building a vibrant parish and school community, we encourage students to model the behavior of Christ, based on the ideals of justice, love and service.

Currently, the school has an enrolment of approximately 332 students and a passionate and committed staff of 45.
